Marianne Blackwell is a Fort Collins estate planning and probate attorney serving individuals and families throughout Northern Colorado and the Front Range. Prior to returning to the practice of law, Marianne spent more than 15 years in higher education fundraising, serving as a senior director in the Offices of Gift Planning with the University of Colorado and Colorado State University. In those roles, she collaborated with donors and their advisors to design charitable giving strategies as part of comprehensive estate and financial plans. This experience provides her clients with a unique perspective on legacy planning and long-term wealth transfer.
Marianne earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Throughout her legal career, she has represented clients in estate planning, probate matters, wills and trusts, civil litigation, contracts, business formation, and family law.
She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and serves in the Elder Law and Trust & Estate Sections. She is also a member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and the Larimer County Estate and Trust group. Marianne regularly presents on estate planning and probate topics, empowering individuals and families to make informed decisions about their future.
